For me, 1.43 miles would be about 15-18 minutes or so at a moderate speed (wouldn't want to look like crap at work). For reference, Commons to the CRC was just over one mile.
I determined a few years ago that the speed at which I am forced into a jog is exactly 3.1 mph. At 3 mph (my quickest energy-feasible walk), a mile is 20 minutes. My best mile time in high school was 6:05 (just under 10 mph, which would probably put me at 1.43 in a little under 9 minutes if I could maintain the endurance to do so).
Short version: I'd probably budget something like 25 minutes to cover that distance, unless you're using it as your workout like I did in college.
Regardless of that likely-unnecessary analysis, good luck with the job.
