I'm not going to give this show a rating so much as say this:

Even if you do not like Wao Youka and Hanafusa Mari, even if you do not like the type of character archetypes George and Katherine represent, even if you do not like the entire Takarazuka Revue, you need this show.

Quick Skim Review for those on a schedule:

Nice review. :) What is your type of Zuka show anyway? I could recommend from my collection.

Oh, I guess I couldn't pick a type for myself per se. In general I enjoy stories about strong, self-possessed individuals who lead epic lives. My favourites so far have been Passion and Elisabeth, if that helps at all. Recommend me something you like, though! I'm always eager to hear of other opinions.

Thanks for commenting ♥

Not sure about the "leading epic lives" part, but Wind of Buenos Aires and La Mariposa are very good character plays with heroes whose lives aren't entirely black and white. Plus, hardly any sissy musumeyaku roles either. The Latin theme is also a plus. However, if shows with lots and lots of music with little dialogue are your thing, then they are not for you. :x

Hee, to be fair, most 'zuka characters can be classified as leading very epic lives. Not sure what you mean by 'sissy musumeyaku roles' though - maybe I've just been lucky enough to not have encountered any yet! Thanks very much for the recs, I've been meaning to look up some Hoshigumi stuff and the 08 Wind of Buenos Aires sounds lovely. I'll definitely look into it. ♥

Thank you for your review. I haven't seen another couple that has as much chemistry that Wao and Hana had. I loved the music in this show.

Me too! I have the piano music on CD and listen to it all the time - it just suits everything about the show so perfectly. Thanks for reading! ♥

I'm overwhelmed by the love you put into this review and only wish I could write something so -- for lack of a better word -- epic. ;)

NSG really is the best show ever. ^_____^

Aw, thank you for this! I'm flattered. To be honest I usually try not to be quite so blatant a squeeing fangirl but gosh, it's Takahana and I can't help it.

(love that icon, by the way. Every time I watch that moment in the dance I'm like *flail* JASDKFLJ;SDLA THEY'RE SO HOT) ♥

Wow...

It has suddenly become essential to my continued good health that I watch this show - no question about it, I will just have to go and rob a bank in order to buy it.

Thank you for the review!

Heee! Well, much as I would loathe to influence anyone illegally, I have to admit that I do not regret at all making someone else want this show! I hope you enjoy it when you get around to watching it. ♥
