Logan should have been in a good mood, seeing as how he wasn't trapped in the compound anymore, and his and Neil's hut hadn't been destroyed, but he wasn't. in fact, he was moodier then usual even. At the moment Joe was staying in the Council office, although it was temporary and he assumed he'd be going back to Dale's later that evening, if only because it was a bed and he felt okay there. But as it was, he just sat at the desk, staring at a wall as he tried to convince himself to do some paperwork.

Ozzy was pacing the room, wagging her tail happily and bouncing around, waiting for Joe to do something with him, although he couldn't be bothered to get up.

Logan knocked, but didn't wait for an answer, opening the door without pause.

He spotted Joe right away and glared, arms folded over his chest as he walked over. "Where the hell have you been?" he asked, realizing a moment later that he sounded like his mother did when she'd been sober.

Joe glanced at Logan when he came into the room and then lifted his hand to rub his eyes, wincing at both the sting of the cut under his eye and the strain of his injured muscles in his arm.

"Here, mostly," he said. How many days had it even been? When had he come back? Just the day before? It felt like a fucking week already, but it had only been a day or two. "Staying at Dale's. He kicked my ass."

"Good!" Logan said seriously. "Cause someone needed to. Are you high?" he asked.

Joe didn't look high, but that didn't really mean anything. He felt better asking.
