Oooh. I like foreshadowspiracy theories! What's yours?
I have nothing fleshed out, or specific, but I can see the show could have them get to a point where yes, they love each other, but they're just not happy, together, anymore. I have absolutely no idea what it's going to take for them to get there, and I know I would find that very, very sad . . . but that potential scene would be epic just to watch HL and LE (disregarding my shipper heart breaking in the corner if that happened, of course :))
Oh. Yeah, my theory has nothing to do with that. Mine was off the fact that Arlene said whenever she stays with Lisa or Julie/Lucinda/Lakwanda, she gets a cold from one of the kids, and coupled with her complaints in the clinic, that to me screamed "autoimmune disease." Which means we'll see sick!Arlene in a later episode, and since autoimmune diseases are often hereditary, the younger, thinner, more up on House's junk Cuddy could be sick, too. This theory is brought to you by people who spend too much time around sick people and/or on WebMD.
I genuinely hope that if Huddy breaks up, it's because one of both of them have realized they are unable to function due to constantly wanting to be boning one another, and not for substantive reasons.
Oooh, I like it. I was hoping we'd get sick!MamaCuddy (wow, that sounds awful of me), if only because it means we get more Candace Bergen. And we are getting more Candace Bergen, right? It wasn't just some cruel, cruel joke by Ausiello that we'd be getting a "multi-episode arc"? And, ooh, if it's hereditary, too? I like it...and it would explain the few spoilers I know (why am I cheerleading the illnesses of fictional characters?). the younger, thinner, more up on House's junk Cuddy could be sick more up? :D And does the Julie/Lucinda/Lakwanda mean that we're really getting perfect sister!Cuddy? Awesome (although was clearing "Julie Cuddy" so hard--for a second time--that they had to change her name? weird). WebMD's not so bad (see? I'm supportive :)) If we really wanted to go hardcore, we'd haunt Entrez PubMed . . . especially examining that medically-specific tweet by Sara Hess. *looks around* What? :D
( ... )
Yay! Thank you! It felt good to do one of these again, plus there was no way I was going to let an episode with Candace Bergen pass. I'm easy :))
Right?! Great minds! Silly, House, especially with that much lead time between lie told and night in question. Do you think "Oh, right, you guys talk" was partly a nod to the fact that all Cuddy/Wilson scenes have been happening off-screen this season? :) (not letting it go, lol)
I agree and I do think that was a nod to that. I still wish we got to see them talk once in a while.
I also now think that House knew he wasn't getting out of dinner but set up the confrontation so he could use it again later and Cuddy and Wilson wouldn't suspect. (of course once he met "mom" he was really trying to get out of it)
And you're right, the lighting was very cold in this episode.
It's weird that we haven't had any solo Cuddy/Wilson scenes. Really weird. It would be nice to get another perspective on what's going on without House in the middle. Even when they're in the same scene they're not really talking to each other. And the show's just toying with us, mentioning all these talks that they're having off-screen, that one overhead shot in the last episode. Sigh. I'm still hoping a scene is coming.
Ooh, I like it. He thinks in chess moves. He's still going to get in trouble if Cuddy asks Wilson about bowling, but what's that saying? better to apologize than ask permission :)
Cold! Yes! that's a great description for it. It was odd; different is good, I guess, but I like my routines, too :D

Is H aiming for alone time? If so: get dumber friends.
I swear I thought the exact same thing.
