New obsession

I recently have a new obsession. It is make up. I've been researching on the latest trends on all types of make up from foundation, concealers, blush, primers, bb creams and more. I don't know how I started having the addiction to research on the best make up but I can't stop ( Read more... )

Ah, I think that knowing make-up tips is great. I think the correct make-up can really enhance one's appearance. I'm envious of the women who can apply make-up like pros (I can only do really basic stuff like putting some foundation, draw a bad line with eye-pencil on my top eye-lid and put a ton of mascara and some blush).

I'll never understand the people who say that make-up hides our natural face :S I think it makes our natural features look better, actually. But I do understand the problem of sensitive skin. Apparently, there are make-up products for sensitive skin, so you should buy these, and try not to keep it on your face for too long. Oh, and and clean it very well too.

well, i do use products that are for sensitive skin but still have some break outs :( i'm also envious of those people who are great in applying make up but we can learn (it will just take time, effort and a lot of practice) I'm also envious of those bloggers that get free products!!!
right now, i'm on the researching side on which products to buy so i won't waste money. if you have any recommendations, i would appreciate it :))

I admit I haven't practiced too hard, but still, I have looked at simple tutorials, and I just can't get the same results ^^; And it isn't like I just started using make-up, I've been doing it for at least 10 years now orz

I have greasy skin, so I get breakouts anyway (whether I apply make-up or not), so I just use normal products...I use L'oreal's Infallible 16 Hours foundation (because it's the only thing that can actually stay long enough on my greasy skin orz). I have a huge problem with eye pencils, they just melt and become smudgy after a while (especially on a hot day :x). The best pencil I've found so far is this. I use a blush by the same company. My concealer is the same as the foundation, and I use L'Oreals' Double Extension mascara. It makes my eyelashes thick and long.

Oh, are there are any beauty shops near your place? You should go to one and ask for some free samples! This way, you can test the things before you buy them, to make sure they don't irritate your skin.

there are testers here in my country but seldom do they give out free samples :( as for me, i use maquillage foundation (it is also under shiseido), naturactor concealer, nars orgasm blush or sometimes skinfood blush and eyeshadow from smashbox. After using make up for a whole day, i would get little break outs. I just ignore them because they are not really visible unless you look at my face close up.

how about trying Bloom's Eye Pencil, i've never had trouble with mine. But Korres is a good brand, maybe just not right for your skin? or maybe you should put primer first so it won't smudge
