With the arrival of this new "invasion", I am rather tempted to make sushi.

[ he takes a sip from the ridiculously oversized red sake bowl ]

Sushi does go well with sake, after all.

totally facetious, getcha guns on, *uesugi kenshin, icy humor, *event: fish monsters

[ His favourite words: sake and sushi! ]

Yeah! Yeah! Bring on the sushi!

But Mokona doesn't think these fish are gonna taste very yummy.

Doubtful, Mokona-dono, though the thought is rather entertaining.

Certainly a shop here has good sushi.

When it's safe again, let's go look for one!

I miss sushi! The good stuff! Fatty tuna and salmon!

[ And while all hell breaks loose outdoors, these two talk about food. ]

Indeed. Good sushi may be difficult to find, though I hope for the best. Fatty tuna and salmon sound quite delicious.

[ sounds like a good plan! they can talk about food while everyone else seems to think Kenshin will eat his enemies XD ]

What if these "invasions" have parasites?

I was simply being facetious. I make not a habit of eating my enemies.

Do you eat your enemies?

Sushi, huh?

[ Kanji's been doing his fair share of fighting too and well. He's sort of frowning at this guy's statement. ]

...Have you seen the walkin' zombie fish out there? They're kind of gross. I wouldn't wanna eat it.

Simply a facetious comment. I do not eat my enemies, particularly the ones which appear to be undead.

O-Oh. Right. "Facetious"...?

It means the remark was hardly intended to be taken seriously

Eating your enemies is one thing, but eating them raw? [Low, appraising whistle.] I'll pass, but if you need a hand making some tenpura, maybe give me a call.

I make no habit of eating my enemies, nor have I a desire to do so. Some of these enemies are quite dirty and hardly worthy of decent sushi.

It was simply a facetious idea.

And an equally facetious response, for the record. I've heard some cultures believe that eating the flesh of another man will give you his all his knowledge, but I think I'd rather just read his biography.

Do they? How different. It is certainly not a habit in samurai culture.

[Ew. What? 8|;]

I-I don't think consuming any part of those things would be a wise decision... If that's what you meant by making sushi.

Certainly not.

I have no intention of eating my enemies, fish or otherwise.

That's a relief...

Though I honestly can't understand how anyone could retain an appetite for seafood after seeing those creatures.

[And this is coming from a kid who loves fancy tuna. :|]

I find sushi quite the delicacy, quite opposite of how these enemies present themselves.
