[ here have a confused warlord being confused by these foreign things. ]I have heard several mentions of Valentine's. Yet another unfamiliar celebration, though if it is as festive as Christmas, then it may be quite enjoyable. I have heard several mentions of something called chocolate as well ( Read more... )

... You don't know what chocolate is?

[He looks like he almost pitied the guy--ready to rant at how much the other is missing out.]

[But of course, the other already mentioned he'd prefer to celebrate New Year.]

A festivity of Japan... I guess it wouldn't hurt to see how that turns out. Hope you don't mind.

[ooc: /just gonna assume they already met because they were pirate ship teammates--we should really continue that somehow |'D]

I know not what chocolate is. I am not familiar with many foreign things. What information have you about it?

[ yes, new year's ]

Welcoming in the new year would benefit Vatheon greatly, bringing it good fortune and prosperity.

[ ooc: that works great for me. :D ]

It's an utterly heavenly creation. [He started, somehow perfectly serious. A rarity that... Yuri's being sincere with a ridiculous sentence.] In simple terms, it's created from cocoa... there are the three main descriptions: white, milk, and black... [/insert rambling here feel free to interrupt]

New Year welcomes were always great where I was from. Life was hard, but everyone around the Lower Quarter looked forward to it, pitching in for the feast. Not always delicious, because we tend to just take leftovers or cheap meat... but the thought counts.

[ Kenshin's polite and let's him finish rambling, noting his passion for the chocolate creation. ] This chocolate sounds quite amazing. I shall certainly try some myself.

Indeed the thought does count. In Japan, New Years is an important celebration. Families clean their houses and welcome the new year by ringing bells and eating mochi. It is certainly a joyous festival.

Aah, it's the only thing I like about Valentines...

... Hm, that sounds appropriate. "New Year", after all, so I guess you start off the thing with a bit of noise and a clean house. ... Not that I'm any good at most cleaning.

It sounds quite interesting so far.

Organization should suffice, at the very least.

I'll say. Cheerful lovers, and strings of broken hearts. It'll be a riot.

... That sounds even more intimidating.

An unusual festival.

Are you, at the very least, able to see the floor?

Oh don't worry about it, I don't have nearly enough stuff to cover the floor.

It certainly seems you have the house quite clean already then.

I guess I could've at least fixed the bed better back then, with it being the only thing in the room. ... Oh well.

You could do so for this new year then.

Nah, I don't know if there's a proper way to fix... that thing...

Ah. I see. Then your room sounds as though it is prepared for the new year.

... Good to know but what I meant to say is I don't really have a room.
