Okay I'm officially feeling dejected and depressed, and I am severely running out of ideas.  We're assuming the job in Lawrence has fallen through, our apartment lease is about to run out (only a few more days), and no one in this god-forsaken town seems to want to do short-term leases.  Those few that are willing are full until next freaking year

I can relate with how you are feeling. I am feeling very depressed as well for different reasons but nonethe less, still depressed. You aren't alone!

Thanks man...but what I need more than anything at this exact moment is to know that, after we take everything out of this apartment, that we'll have somewhere to put it besides the truck or Uhaul...

Once I get that I'll be much less concerned...

I didn't know where I was going to move either and don't even have anyone to help me move. But a place did come up on Craigslist.com, thank God!!
I pray something comes up for you soon. I can so relate it's not funny!!

Sadly, I only have buckets of meaningless advice to offer here - and useless offers of lodging a continent away from you, but I'll say this; it'd be a big shame if you'd lose the magical benifits of proper housing before I'd even been given the chance to get to know you. ;)

I'd tell you not to worry as perhaps an opportunity will arise for you and your husband before the deadline, but really, if one wouldn't worry here, when would they? I just hope you'll manage well enough and that things look up further down the line.
