There's a reason it takes 9 months to grow a baby; it's so you can make a head start on coming to terms with such a huge thing! It's totally normal to feel how you do, varying between extremes. But you will manage in the end, because you'll find you have to - even when it gets hard you find undiscovered reserves of strength to keep going and deal with it. There are far, far, far more unsuitable parents than you out there and somehow they manage, so you will too ( ... )

If it were actually going to fall out that would be lovely... instead I have to push it out in a marathon of glorious pain.

Somehow, I don't think adding teeth and claws to the equation is the best way to improve the situation.

My sister have both been 'living baby cannons' and from what I've seen it can't get much worse so what the heck ;-p
