Nice to see that OKC made a beautiful connection

It turns out they have a long memory. I deleted my profile some years ago, and attempting to start a new one with this e-mail address, they told me Nope.

Wow, sorry to hear that you had that problem, but also glad to hear that you considered coming back. Though as I said, they're changing quite a bit and losing unique bits of functionality.

I'm in the process of archiving my journal entries here.

Almost missed the comment because you replied to your journal entry instead of to my comment.... I get an e-mail from LJ when someone replies directly to a comment I make.

I didn't really consider "going back" I was just checking out a link you posted that it wouldn't let me see. I thought I'd try my old email and password, and they said "No backsies". Other than meeting you, OKC produced exactly zilch for me. But then, neither have any of the other sites I tried. I did get a date once off of Craigslist, but it did not go well.

Not a waste though, by a long shot ebontigress October 23 2013, 02:25:12 UTC
Well then, I consider it worth it, since it put us in touch with each other. I'm sorry that I've let local life take me away from LJ for such a long stretch. Also sorry that FB seems to have rotted away my attention span. Will have to retrain.

As I look back at my ancient store of OKC messages, I'm heartened to see so MANY real connections I made through it. And that I'm still in contact with so many of those folks in other avenues.

My life was truly enriched by taking a chance on OKC.

I actually have a Facebook account, before I realized there was a link at the bottom for creating non-personal accounts (I will once the book is done). So I don't really use it.

Your twitter account has been compromised. I just looked at it and it's sending about three or four pieces of spam a day.
