Author’s note: I had written this around the time I wrote “ My best friend.,” but it was so fluffy I didn’t want to put it up… but ah well, here it is. Maotsujun babies, anyone?

“You keep kissing her I might start getting jealous.”

“Of course I have to keep kissing her. That makes sure no boys in the future kiss her more than daddy.”

Mao couldn’t help but smile warmly at Jun. She had set up the crib, refluffed the pillows and was sure the blankets were at the peak of their softness but Jun was yet to put down the little bundle of joy in his arms.

“Hikari-chan…” Jun cooed lovingly while he rocked his daughter gently, “Her hands are so tiny!” he marveled, lifting the child’s hand with his index finger.

Mao leaned over to view the sleeping baby, a small smile touching her lips.

“Have you ever seen a child sleep so peacefully?”

Jun swayed back and forth, his eyes trained on the face of his little girl. He gave a soft chuckle,

“That’s because she hasn’t met Aiba or Ohno yet. No nightmares…”

“They’re coming tomorrow morning with Nino and Sho,” Mao reminded him as she readjusted the baby blanket around Hikari.

“And your parents are coming in the afternoon,” Jun added grudgingly. He didn’t seem to like the idea of sharing the few days off from filming with anyone else other than Mao and his daughter.

“You’ll let them hold her this time right?” Mao mocked lightly, her voice lower to avoid waking the tiny newborn.

Jun was quiet for a moment as if deliberating the choices. “Mm… no.”

“Jun!” she hissed in offended undertone.

“Fine, fine,” Jun replied, “but only for ten seconds.”

Mao wasn’t going to argue. Ten seconds was a long time for Jun to be away from Hikari.

The two watched the child sleep for a moment. She was the tiniest angel.

“She’s so beautiful,” Mao whispered in utmost reverence.

Jun looked at Mao,

“She gets it from her mother.”

Jun woke up, his eyes blinking to the sharp contrast of light on his face.

‘You’ve got to be kidding me,’ thought Jun in exasperation, ‘today of all days?’

“Omedatou Jun!” congratulated Sho through a laugh, pointing the flashlight directly on Jun’s face. Arashi were crowded around him and a camera man was somewhere behind them.

“Wakie, wakie~!”

Jun rolled over, trying to ignore everything for a change in attempt to recall his dream now turning into distant memory- he had a feeling it was important.

But like every dream, the more he tried to remember, the less he could recall. All he could remember was the fuzzy image of a beautiful girl whom he called his wife…

“Happy 20th birthday, Jun!” prompted Nino.

Jun inwardly sighed. Oh well. He rolled over to see what his band mates had planned for him today…
