This isn't meant to be general, just some ideas for my own benefit. But if you find any of these ideas useful, awesome! Feel free to use 'em as you like.

How do you feel about yoga? I loved to walk to Pilgrimage of the Heart in North Park on the weekends when I lived there. I've found a studio I like here, but we're paying off credit cards at the moment so I'm postponing buying a membership until that's done.

I've tried yoga, but it's hard to keep up with it, since I usually have to go someplace to do it. That's why I've been considering a video or internet course in Tai Chi, so I don't have to drive to a studio for classes.

Best of luck to you on change of habits. It ain't easy, I know!!!

I've been having some fun with something that RhinoGirl and her husband got me into (and as a fellow gamer, I think you might also find fun and useful): HabitRPG.com.

You get a silly little 8-bit Avatar, pet and eventually a mount, and you get EPs as you accomplish tasks, and take damage when you don't do things in a timely manner that you'd planned. I love task management software for projects -- but it has sucked for personal things (other than packing lists and stuff). This has a great fun factor. You can even team up with people for missions against baddies and get kewl virtual loot to suss up your Avatar! I think you might find that useful.

Let me know if you end up joining!
