Since I was off and today was semi-nice anyway, I took the dogs to Lakefront Park this afternoon instead of our usual romp around Lincoln Park. Lincoln is usually populated by dogs and old people, but Lakefront is mostly walkers, bikers, runners, skaters, etc. It was really cool to stand on the beach in the winter and I think the dogs enjoyed the ( Read more... )

split your refund in half - one part toward cards, the other toward savings/practical (and maybe a just-for-fun splurge)

i went to europe for the first time last year. went to budapest, quick stop in munich, and then paris. this time around, i think i'd want to do a train trip through italy. maybe i can find some super bargain of a trip off season or something!

it's very beautiful and a great walking city. unfortunately, when i was there, there was a lot of flooding. i'd also suggest staying on the buda side of the city if you ever go.

i thought i would hate paris and went there more for the art than anything else, but i loved it! well, the city; not so much the people.

awesome! definitely go!
