for the most part, i never open my mail. or even look at it. whoever brings it in dumps it on my desk and when the pile get so high i can't see the bottom of my monitor i half-heartedly go through it and shred/recycle it all. this is because all of my bills are paid automatically online and therefore anything else will probably be junk mail.

you know what is really sad? i have mail in a box from when i lived in new york. 3 years ago. and that mail probably goes back to when i first moved out there. so 5 years worth of the shit sitting in a box. like i have statements from three banks ago and credit cards i don't even have anymore. i think i need to hire one of those industrial shredders!

I thought I was bad - at most I check my mailbox 2-3 times a week, and sometimes I let it go much longer, until the carrier can't jam in another bit of paper (he hates me). but at least once I *do* drag it all out, I try to go through for the essential bits and recycle/shred the balance

i'm sure if i lived on my own i would only check the box once a week or something. when i was in new york, i pretty much never checked unless i was expecting something. or the post office would leave a note on my door asking me to clean out my box. i'm so bad. but i opt'd out of all the credit card offers so at least i've cut down on some of it!

I rarely get mail so I open everything I get, which is mostly bills. Sigh.

Also, I adore your icon so much. He's such an adorable douche, and that shouldn't be possible, but it is.

ugh bills. i get them via email where i can really ignore them. as i said, i like to pretend they don't exist in the hopes they'll go away. :(
