Twenty years ago today, my maternal grandpa died. I was exactly one month shy of seven at the time. Even though it's been so long, I can still remember that day in detail. I don't claim to know what happens when we die, but I find it hard to believe that there isn't a way for those people to watch us still. I bet he has seen how far you've come, somehow, and I'm sure he's very proud of you.
