There’s nothing better than cooking with fruit and vegetables that you hand-picked out of your own garden that morning or bought at the farmer’s market that day. Hand-picked vegetables fresh from your garden is one of the greater joys in life. I love going home to Toronto because Mom makes salads and such with her homegrown vegetables, and it's so much better than store-bought.

I totally agree. Mmm, fresh salads. I had a fresh cucumber, dill, and cream cheese sandwich on rye today. It was heaven.
