I pray every night for people's hardships to be over
& sometimes, I wonder if I can change lives

my father used to own a homeless shelter
& a 5-year-old girl named Sadie stayed there
behind her large green eyes, she just wanted to be a little girl
her favorite story was Cinderella so I bought her a Cinderella shirt
& the happiness in her eyes stuck with me forever

it's such a life-changing experience being with these people and forming relationships and just knowing how grateful they are for us.
we should hang out more jessi, seriously you are such an amazing girl and i respect you a ton. i love you girl

Wow Ashlee, that sounds like something someone would write in one of those Chicken Soup books. That is so sweet and made me want to cry even though I'm not religious at all. <3
