I've been reading a lot (too much, probably) about the nomination lately, and I have been particularly interested in the comments posted to articles. What I'm seeing is not terribly surprising: Obama and Clinton supporters stating their opinions on the current issues to greater and often much, much lesser degrees of thoughtfulness ( Read more... )

$10 says these are the same people who would otherwise be bitching about how young people are too lazy and/or apathetic to vote.

Also:

When have they had to pay a mortgage, buy health insurance, be worried about saving for retirement, or about social security?

Most people I know have done all but the first one (though we have had to worry about paying rent). And we're not so much worried about Social Security as acknowledging that we'll never have it.
