I, too, hate the idea of women being generalized. I know we are all very different and complicated, but just because one doesn't want to get married or idolize high heels does not make her a crazy feminist. And the moment we speak up about it makes us a crazy feminist. Arg!

Precisely. And the whole thing about men being into power tools and cars, that must be equally frustrating because there's all that inbuilt pyschological shit for guys of 'you're not a MAN unless...' all that difference between a boy and a man that can be so damaging. then, just in the same way, it's patronising that we don't really progress to women, we are perpetually GURLZ.
