Dude, you have to try raw milk cheese. omfg, best cheese of all fucking TIME. We are blessed up here with a buttjillion private dairies though. I didn't know about it when I lived down there, but oh god, raw milk is the BEST. And try to get local chicken eggs too, that is like 1000000000x better than even "Free range organic" from the store. You just need to come up here so I can take you to the farmers market, basically. Oh my god, so fucking awesome.
the only thing about raw milk that scares me a little bit is the bacteria factor. i know it's 95% psychological.. and i still have absolutely no craving for drinking a glass of milk (i never really even did that with soymilk). i still don't like cheese, but i suppose i am more "open" to the idea.
dude, it is unreal. And I don't drink it either, I cook with it, or make gravies xD I can't drink it because since it is raw.. it is like.. full fat. I still just drink skim.
It is a little bit different up here, since like.. you know the cow you are getting it from, ya know? My pasturized milk that I buy in the store comes from a dairy 10 miles from me, and they have open tours! You can touch a cow that gives you milk! I get my normal cheese from Tillamook, which is about 2 hours from here, and my raw cheese comes from http://www.wvcheeseco.com/ which is based in my town. It is amazing. I get my eggs from a kid named Matt who sells them at the market. He is like 14. LOL.
Maybe you should try eating the sushi/sashimi stuff first? Less fishy-smelly, at least. Tell me what happens; I will live vicariously through your pescetarianism.
Also it's weird that we both started eating cheese around the same time when we lived in different places and didn't tell each other...
