in which vagueness is a state of mind

things i disapprove of:
-steam irons in the summer in the upstairs of my house. self-explanatory.
-having to leave the bookstore partway through a just-released book, then realizing it's not at the library (partially because the official release is still 4 days away) and now you're #20 on the list because you hadn't heard it was coming out. OR the ( Read more... )

i LOVE jacqueline carey! but i started reading kushiel's scion (i think? the one about imriel) and i just couldn't finish it... =\ i don't know... maybe it lost its appeal or something. i still love her writing, though; it's so elegant. and i think a lot of the myth is very creative. boo. maybe i'll try reading her again.

love the dresses hehe

Something about the sheer number of hyperlinks worked into the syntax of this entry strikes me as funny. Haha.

And yes, I am glad you're no longer forced to judge WFL by the miniseries. Even if the later books in the series begin to suck. (And hey, I finished them all and I'm not even obsessive that way, so clearly they didn't suck toooo bad... provided you get the knack for when to start skipping pages.)

yeah, i'm understanding now why nathan got so annoyed with the miniseries XD
i've gotten past where i saw in the miniseries anyway (as far as you can try to sync up the miniseries anyawy)... met shota, kahlan got all KILL ME NOW BEFORE I SEX YOU AND THE WORLD ENDS and zedd... i keep waiting for the chapter to end on zedd flinging a fireball at the camera reader.

How good is your memory of the Ender books? It's probably a good idea to reread Ender's Game and the last Shadow book, Shadow of the Giant, before tackling Exile. (If you have time, Ender's Shadow and the rest of its sequels would probably make Giant more enjoyable, but otherwise they wouldn't be that necessary.)
