Yes - beautiful emaotional melodies and fantastic at finding the right voice for each instrument he uses and blends them so well.

Try 2nd Symphony. One of my favs.

i initially read this as his 2nd piano concerto. assuming that's not what you meant (and you meant what you said! *smile*), i will look for his 2nd symphony - thanks for the recommendation. iirc the first piece i heard was his piano concerto #3... which i still really like.
