I've never read a Jeremy/Bonnie fic before (but love them in the show) and I'm glad yours is my first. It's so cute and easy and natural and it actually makes me like Bonnie a lot more.

"Can you come over?"

"I'm sleeping."

"You're talking to me, you're not sleeping."

"Yes, I am," Bonnie says

That made me laugh.

Maybe that means that someday she'll look at him and just see him

And that made me smile.

I so hope their relationship stays a focus in the coming episodes.

Oh, wow, this was really lovely! I adore your Bonnie - so strong and slightly abrasive (I loved the bit about Elena's aunt sleeping with the teacher), but also really vulnerable and kind. I do agree that Bonnie's faults and emotional barriers do come from a caring place, and I think it's really interesting to see her play off of Jeremy, who's lost people to, but is still so willing to give what they have a shot.

Speaking of: JEREMY. Oh, he's so kind and dashing. I don't know when, exactly, he stopped being my least favorite character and started becoming this great man, but I'm so glad it happened. And I do love the explanation of their weird coupley-ness in Daddy Issues: I like that Jeremy is invested in their relationship, but understands that Bonnie needs time to come around. I don't know, it's just really sweet.

Anyway, so this was pretty much the perfect fix-it fic for the past few episodes. Thanks for sharing it!

I am in love with these two (as I am sure you have noticed) and this is just the perfect filler for what we didn't get to see between everything that we did. I like the build-up and most of all I like that it makes sense and seems natural and is just plain awesome.
