I really enjoyed this. Almost as much as I actually enjoyed the fic itself. Don't take this the wrong way, but I do prefer this to The World Unravels... not that it's any better or worse, just the subject matter, so it was a joy to read this.

There is a reason I have written Diane yet, either -- and you encapsulate that well here. SHE IS TOUGH. I actually thought you handled Kalinda well, too. I still haven't read a fic that includes her, or even is about her, that really rings 100% Kalinda because she's so tough, but this did ring true here.

On a sidenote -- I don't plot out my fics either. Well, I think about them for a while and have a general idea of what I want to happen, but outlining and planning it out line per line? Not so much. I like that I'm finding all this stuff in common!

Oh no, I wouldn't take that the wrong way at all. There are parts of this I like more, but I don't know, I think I'm just really attached to the experimentation I did with World Unravels.

Kalinda and Diane are terrifying. I wrote a drabble with Cary and Kalinda where I think I got a much better handle on her, and I wrote that after this, so maybe it's a process? I am never trying to write Diane laughing again, though. That was a bad decision.

Yay, someone else that does that! I'd like to teach myself to outline, because I'd like to try longer fic or being able to write out of order at some point, but it's just not something that comes to me easily.
