I watched this again a few months ago, and was thinking about the characters. There's actually quite a bit of depth, even when the characters are anime archetypes. Since I'm a hopeless dork, I will share my thoughts with you now. If you are not interested, I recommend you go to youtube and find footage of Tiny Tim singing 'Tiptoe Through the Tulips

In all reality, you could do the series completely without Suzuka and Aisha, but it'd lose a lot of it's flavor, and they're really there just to add to the show just a bit, or give the main three characters something to bounce off of. A good example is how frequently Suzuka teaches Melfina things that most asian women learn as children.

But yea, it's one of my favorites. Probably why I've watched it through 5 or 6 times.

Which things does Suzuka teach Melfina? I'm drawing a blank.

On one.. I think two, she stops Melfina from screwing up dinner.

Yeah, that's right. She shows up just as Melfina starts learning to cook. :)
