I've been watching a ton of war movies lately (Band of Brothers (all episodes), Saving Private ryan) and have been contemplating the sacrifice these men made for our present freedom we enjoy today. I'm not exactly sure if what we have today is an uneasy period of unrest, rather than peace in general. 21st century may be a century of Islamic struggle, compared to 20th century focusing on Europe, and maybe Asia...but it seems we are unable to be at complete peace with ourselves. But I guess we've been trying, and the end product isn't so bad as what could've been. Yes, appreciate, but also be aware that war is still around us, distant or not.

I don't exactly know what I was trying to say...I'm tired and sick. g'day.

lol i really didnt know what i was trying to say either....i just started typing...then talking about rome and its parallels, then WWII but then im like....how does that apply to today? either way...the world is fucked up right now
