Haha. My mom is not helpful like this, but my DAD is exactly this type of parent. Every time I have a problem I just phone him up and he drops some perspective on me and by the time I hang up I either know what to do to fix it or am convinced that it isn't that big a deal. Everyone should have at least one parent like this (Also OMG Ireland yay! If you get a chance to travel at all DO EET, Belfast is amazing and close and Edinburgh is AMAZING and like a $20 plane ticket away. Don't sleep. Just walk around all the time with your eyes open like this: O.O. You will have a blaaaast).
