One of my favorite places . . .

Priscilla and I went to Myakka River State Park two weeks ago. We thought one time we’d try the tram and I’m glad we did. We were in luck as there were only four of us on a double car tram that seats probably 60 people! It took us to places you normally can’t get into, far off the beaten path. I admit I found myself just shaking my head when I read: "except for the alligators. We did stop there and got off to get closer for a picture". I really can't imagine myself voluntarily moving CLOSER to alligators! Of course, if it was just the babies on the log, I might think of it. But probably still not do!

As always, my dear lady, GREAT photos! I especially like the pic of the red-shouldered hawk. Thank you for sharing.

Hi there, my friend!
I highly respect the alligators and always, always keep my distance. If not for the long zoom lens I had with me that day, I would never think of getting near an alligator, even babies. I know my pictures make it appear I am only a few feet away, but be assured, that is never the case. These two may have been big enough to be on their own, but when you see smaller ones, a mama may always be nearby.

Thank you on the hawk picture. It's hard to not take a good picture of these beautiful birds.
