Most all the other birds take one dip and do a little splashing, but the blue jay always come back again and again, hardly taking time to even dry off before they return in a few minutes.

In the first picture it looked a little bedraggled, but then I saw how it was splashing about with abandon in the second picture and I understood that it was having fun. It's so much fun to watch them play in a birdbath - they really seem to love it.

When I took that first shot, he'd already been in a few times. The blue jays are always repeat splashers, returning again and again. :))

I've never seen them do that--but our bird bath is pretty darned small.

Looks like he's having a wonderful time!
