I love bird of paradise plants but they often look a little ragged in this area - too much wind or sun or not enough rain. With all plants, artificial watering is never as good as rain, no matter how we try. This one does look perfect and you certainly have taken a perfect shot and oh, so beautiful!
Your glasses sound so beautiful and I would be like you - not wanting to cut into 'virgin' glass. Your piece of experimental glass you got from that little shop enough for one large dragonfly, and one set of fairy wings sounds so special. I loved you last lot of dragonflies you put up, so I'm sure to love these ones.
Good luck to both of you with your eyes. Being done back to back - goodness gracious! I was wondering what you were going to do for transport but I see that is all being taken care of. Wow, you vision being taken back to when you were about 40 - with no astigmatism. That will be great!
I will be thinking of you and in the meantime I will be thinking of you beavering away making dragonflies and things in the meantime!
I love this photo of the bird of paradise. they grow here too, and are the official flower of the city of Los Angeles. They bloom prolifically here, but the leaves often look raggedy because of the dry climate. Yours is probably the most elegant picture of bird of paradise I've even seen.
