When we got up this morning I saw that every little buoyant float had left the bottom of the Galileo Thermometer in the bathroom! The last one up is for 62 degrees! We have not turned on our heater in the house yet. I can’t stand that dry heat. Pete uses every excuse to go somewhere in his truck so he can turn on the heater…and I just put on

Thanks. Six orchids stayed inside this year, and about 20 are outside at the plant hut. I did not take them like I usually do in January and February, and they all seemed to have survived out there just fine. They say bring them in at 50 degrees, but I didn't this year.

Thanks. Six orchids stayed inside in the bathroom this year. We got that as a gift about 15 years ago. I love it!

It might be even colder than 62 in your house if you are going by the Galileo thermometer!

When I first got up, the bottom one was still on the rise. I went to the kitchen and made coffee, then checked our thermostat and it said 62 also. Then I got my camera and took the picture. Then after all that activity, I got dressed in more than just my nightshirt.
