This is another delightful inspiration, Kathy! You might want to run back for more half price shadow boxes, because these will sell well.

You always impress me with your creativity and productivity. Nicely done.

Thanks for your vote of confidence, Val!

I think I look at things too long here and at some point really don't see them for what they are anymore. But one thing I have learned, always try and keep it fresh. Good or bad, I hope I never stop getting ideas.

I so love this new configuration! And that glass is so perfect as a sunset.

Thanks! There are many glasses that have that hidden quality when you hold it to the light. I always call them "sky glass."

I love the effect of the light in the second photo. It reminds me of the dream scene from the movie Oklahoma! for some reason. Or perhaps Singing in the Rain with Gene Kelly and Debbie Reynolds where they are dancing on a big soundstage with a big fan. In any case, the scene looks so three-dimensional for a photograph of something with only a bit of actual depth (in inches). Very nice!

Thank you! I do remember some of those old movies and the sunset scenes you mentioned. Yes, the shadowboxes are only 1.25" deep. I like the idea of the dimension it gives and also that everything is protected in there.

Oh, I love that glass! It looks like an aurora. I can see why it would be so hard to let go. Yet, what a beautiful creation you have made with it!

Oh, yes! An aurora for sure! I didn't even think of that, but it really does!
Even though it is hard to let go of some of this glass, I like the idea of someone else getting that enjoyment, too.

I finished another one yesterday and I'll post a picture as soon as I take it.

You have taken wire trees to a whole new place! That Youghiogheny glass is finally getting a design where it can be the star in the spotlight!

I love you too! And am glad we are on the same wavelength.

Thank you! I remember like it was yesterday that trip to Connellsville and Youghiogheny Glass. My first time ever seeing how glass was made, feeling the heat of everything up close and personal. I bought so much glass that day, like I was a kid in a candy store, and brought it all back to Florida in the car. It was my first experience with a specialty glass like that and I have hoarded most of it for all these years.

I'm so glad we went to Youghiogheny too - it let me appreciate stained glass even more.
