Our good friend, Jim B. (age 55), had a dream since he was a teenager and that was to own a 1933 Ford. In 2006 his dream came true and he was able to buy one to restore. Here they are when he first brought it home...

I think other cars back then were on the small side also. Or maybe just lower to the ground. I don't know much about them, but being only a two-seater it would be smaller than most.

Since Jim is a "body man" meaning his job has mostly always been to paint and fix up vehicles, I can't wait to see what he's going to do the exterior. He asked me once if I'd do a little detail painting on it when he got to that place or at least draw a design for something on the side, but I don't think I'm nearly good enough for something like that.

Of course you are good enough! Look at the murals you have painted and your oil paintings!

Then your husband knows what that feeling is all about. Jim was so happy he just couldn't stop smiling yesterday.

That looks so neat... I'm sure he is tickled with having it running.
My hubby did things like that also... every little thing accomplished is so rewarding.

Good Job to your friend!!!

It is a neat little car. Yes, getting it running after eight years was quite a milestone for him. Like they say, it's not the destination, it's the journey.

This is a cool car. I'm glad Jim is restoring it. It really looks loved!

It really does look small next to the SUV! And really 1930s, how much you can see of the driver's and passenger's heads/faces. Jim looks really happy in it!

And that engine is very shiny!

And I see wide expanses on the boot and doors that need a design :)
