There were two pelican in the water and they were taking turns wildly flapping their wings against the water every few minutes. They never did it at the same time though and seemed like they were taking turns. I think it might have had something to do with herding the fish where they wanted them to go.
Thanks so much! It was wildly flapping its wings and looked to be thoroughly enjoying itself. I cropped the picture close and wanted to accentuate those neck feathers and that happy expression on its face...almost looks like he was starting to say the word happy....
Happy New Year, Earthmother! I love all the drops of water and the movement of the water. I did not know that pelicans have no tongues. Very interesting!
