Wow, what a great way to start out the New Year . . . by counting down the hours until my sister arrives. Her plane lands tomorrow morning at 11:18 a.m. and by 11:30, we will probably have hugged 10 times! Or maybe just one big, long hug

The painting is really a screen print done with transparent inks. I made it after I met Dave. My past is the clutching tree behind me and I was reaching out to "test the waters" with Dave - he is such a fisherman I portrayed him as "fish". We were both skittish - maybe him more than me, but we were both reaching out to each other.

At the bottom it said 4/7 . . . so I should have known it wasn't a watercolor. You signed it Mary C..., so I thought it was "pre-Dave." You might have told me once what it meant, but I forgot. I love the meaning and what inspired you to make it. I'm so lucky to have one of the seven.

Happy New Year. Oh man, this reminds me I need to make some art. And cool that you watched Toy Story 3. I love that movie. I feel sorry for Woody that in all the movies even though he's the boss no one listens to him. And Buzz is awesome.
