Oh, I love it! It took me a long time before I finally placed it in this window. I want one for every sunny window in my house! Too many rainbows are being missed.
Thank you! That's a good observation about how I feel. I had a very good day!
I feel the same way . . . can't have too many orchids. If the ones I saved and repotted from last years freeze survive and get started blooming sometime next year, I'll be knee deep in orchids before I know it. Ha!
That one of the left is a Cattleya. Do you still have your first orchid?
My favorites are the Phalaenopsis. (that's the one on the right, and the little miniature) I seem to have the best luck with those and they have the longest lasting flowers.
Yes, I still have my orchid + one more, now. My first one is a dendrobium, though,so can't be the same as the one on the left. You identified it for me, remember? I'm so glad you had a very happy day :)
I'm sorry I missed your birthday yesterday! I hope it was a great one. Your home looks like a spa - a lovely, restful, beautiful place to get away. You are truly a great artist and I love being your friend!
You didn't miss my birthday, it's been going on all week and will conclude tomorrow. It's been great and not as painful as I thought it would be to turn 65. Ha!
Thank you for the really nice compliment about my home. I've loved creating and filling it with stuff I like over the years. I'm honored to be your friend, Laura.
Happy Birthday! I remembered because Kabuldur reminded me. I love your rainbow round prism. SO cute! I wish I had more windows that let in the light. Our house faces south and we only have one window on the East side. :P
Our house faces west. I only have my bathroom window (facing east) and the front living room windows (facing west) where I could hang them. The windows we have facing south we keep the blinds closed most of the time because of the heat. The rainbow prisms are pretty neat.
I photographed a white butterfly the other day -- first one like this. I think it's a Florida White, but I'll post a picture soon so you can let me know for sure.

More lovely orchids - what a gift - you can never have too many of those.
hat one on the left could very well be the same as the one I got - my very first orchid.
Eggshell certainly knew what to get you with that prism, too. What a wonderful sister she is :)
I look forward to chalk fair photos - but no pressure on your birthday :-)
