Oh, they are so cute! I wonder of they are mates, though, instead of brother and sister? I guess you would know because young ones would be smaller. Not knowing squirrels myself, I can't tell :)
I can't say for sure if they are siblings. They do look to me like they're youngsters though. Older squirrels seem to have a more defined face and are a little bigger. The squirrel that is in the tree and the one eating on the table are older ones I think. Just Photos 1, 2, and 5 are the same two that chase each other and play together.
Are there no squirrels where you live? Anything similiar?
Oh, I see now how the older ones look darker and more defined. Thanks for telling me that.
I'd say our equivalent would be the POSSUM! It is a marsupial, so has a pouch. They are very cute. Their big eyes shine in the moonlight (they are nocturnal). They live in trees and eat blossoms and sweet tree sap when flowers are not available. There are several kinds eg ring tail, brush tail, glider possums (two sizes) and pygmy.
I agree that the baby possums are cute, but we have had some big ones (mamas) around here that are MEAN and vicious. I didn't realize they were marsupials and had a pouch. I don't know if we have several kinds of them or not. I've only ever seen one kind here.
