Little Golden Spider

Such interesting things end up in this birdbath. Today there was a little translucent golden spider in there.

There was a piece of gold mirror close by and I think that and the sun was illuminating him so much.

I think that's the molt of a spider not the real spider. He shed his shell and left it there.

Yeah, my sister told me that, too. Amazing how they can leave behind a perfect replicia of themselves.

Oh, btw, those eggs I posted a few days ago---They are gone now and I never even got to see what came out of them. I was so disappointed. I went down the next day after I took the photos, and they were still there. The next morning I was going to break off the leaf and keep it in a jar to see what came out, but the eggs and all evidence of them was completely gone.

I think you're right. The light is reflected on the spider/spider skin. I just wouldn't notice these things. A golden spider - special!

That's amazing, it looks like a gold brooch with a jewel in the centre. You do have the most extraordinary blessings in your garden.

Amazing photo.

I was wondering, has anyone seen any of those red/yellow garden spiders anymore? There used to be planty of them around here, but I haven't seen any in a couple of years.

Maybe they suddenly got a predator.
