I figured out a big problem with American culture. Our culture doesn't allow anyone to feel sad, or bored, or to have a bad day, to do anything that is unpleasant. We have to be happy, excited, entertained, thrilled, or pleasured, all the time; anything less is considered unacceptable

Yeah, the pursuit of happiness can be an unhappy cycle that gets worse, we have to be realistic and work with what we have.
