a fine display...

I have set up the Bead & Button display "dry run" in the living room. It went together surprisingly well, as I have been collecting things and gathering ideas for what, the last month? Still, I do seem to need to see it all in place to really know where I am at. So I set up the tablecloths to the 8 foot table top size, and laid it all out! Sorry ( Read more... )

Oh, wow, that looks great! And it definitely has that vintage vibe to it, like a sepia-toned photograph.

That looks amazing and it so inspiring.

Where did you get those cool flat rectangular dishes? I love how those look.

I just had to share. I found some really cool aluminum rectangular pots /trays at Target a while ago that I bought for holding carded earrings and they look really great.

I can't wait to head back to Cost Plus now I am looking at the stuff I saw when out shopping in a new light!

hey thanks!

The tin rectangle dishes? I got them from Papermart online (the round ones too). They are actually boxes with clear tops. I was going to use them for packaging kits but they were too big (I thought they were Altoids sized, but they are about 2x)

Oh man, all our Cost Plus stores around here closed. I loved that place :(

Everything looks absolutely gorgeous! If I ever come across some vintage-y display pieces in my travels, I'll give you a heads up.

Thanks! I always love to see that stuff. I am thinking this will be my last show for a while though. I have burnt out of the show scene and this is feeling like my finale for a while. Going out with a blast though...

There are some - http://www.beadsunlimited.co.uk/home/shows.php has links but Im not sure how big they are. Having a look round there seems to be quite a healthy amount going on.

This seems to be one of the biggest organized by Bead Magazine (http://www.beadmagazine.tv) Its called the Big Bead show and seems to be growing more popular, https://www.ashdown.co.uk/library/Thebigbeadshow/2007/index.asp

Then there are the big general crafting shows at the National Exhibition center that seems to pull a good number.

I suspect that your shows are much bigger and better supported and attended by both punters and sellers.
