0018. His mad street skillz

Despite the tempting offer of a memory crystal for the Golden Skating Bling Bling Technique Showcase Special Olympics, there is nothing that could convince me to wear those suits. This lack of gravity, it is.. There is something familiar about it, and comforting. It is far easier to navigate and work in this state. Raise has made note of having a ( Read more... )

I mentioned to P.R. that maybe you guys were like, I dunno, space men? Kind of like astronauts, though he mentioned those two words from your home -- what were they -- Veda? And Gundam? And I didn't recognize either of those.

Oh, I'm a friend of Raise's, by the way. I'm not sure if we've ever really 'met' before. I'm Throne. And you're Aurora, right? I've heard oodles about you.

We are a little young to be astronauts, as that sort of occupation requires a great amount of training. However, I would not rule out that we could have lived in an environment in space. That you don't recognize those terms isn't that surprising; I have yet to meet someone who felt the same sort of familiarity as I do.

It is nice to be acquainted with you, Throne, though I am not familiar with the term "oodles." Nor did I know Raise spoke of me.

Ah, you've definitely got a point there; I hadn't thought of that. From where I'm from, I'm pretty sure guys your age aren't astronauts. Something tells me you're supposed to be too busy -- I dunno -- getting drunk and doing inappropriate things, not launching yourself into space.

It's nice to finally meet you too, Aurora. Maybe someday we'll be able to meet in person. Raise did talk about you, on our, um...non-date? He had good things to say about you, but then Raise chimed in and...yeah.

I am around the age for schooling, but I do not see what that has to do with alcohol consumption, and learning is never inappropriate. Based on my reaction to the technology in the Wilderness when it took the form of Manhattan, I am assuming we are from a more advanced world, so space colonies or academies are another possibility.

He did? That was kind of him, though I honestly do not think him capable of saying bad things about another person, regardless of how true it is. Praise is a different matter, but considering they are not the same, I cannot hold what he says against Raise.

It is reassuring that Raise was "won" by a friend. I am sure you two had a tolerable time.

I am glad you find this state familiar and workable, Aurora-san. Hopefully whatever reason it's so easy for you to exist like this comes to light soon.

It is possible I lived in an environment like this before hand; when I first woke up here and settled in, everything felt too heavy to me. My response to the lack of gravity appears to answer why I first reacted that.

I see. That is very interesting, Aurora-san. To me this weightlessness is entirely unfamiliar, though it has made me discover an ability I did not realize I possessed--the actual floating, however, is completely foreign.

If you need help maneuvering in such a state, I can assist you.

What ability have you discovered?

I would join in, but I'm still stitched up. ...I don't even know what a skateboard is, to be honest.

It is little more than a glorified plank of wood with four wheels, one on each corner. You stand on it and roll around. It seems very stupid to me.

You won't be trying to win... ah... "Bling-bling" memory crystals?

Dude, when we meet up, you are so totally saying "bling bling" for me in person.

...just cause.

...I'd rather not.

Aw, come on, please, P.R. I thought we were going to work on loosening you up a little, putting yourself out there. The first step to doing these things it tossing your dignity right out the window.

SO. BLING BLING, ALRIGHT?
