OMG. "Fetal distress" went to "non-reassuring" and now to "abnormal"? (Seriously? "CATEGORY I" and "CATEGORY II"!!!??!) I've got to read this over again later...

SERIOUSLY people!? Some of us are trying to keep this stuff packed into our brains here!

"Every time I learn something new, it pushes some old stuff out of my brain... Remember when I took that home winemaking course, and I forgot how to drive?"

I think I like the normal, abnormal... at least it doesn't seem all emotional and based on how the tracing makes us feel. I'm a big fan of charting baseline, rhythmn, presence of audible increases, no presence of audible decreases. HAPPY FACE.

Ok, that's true. Hadn't thought about the "reassuring" being all about the provider, rather than objective. Ok. Backing down now. :)

Haha, I didn't mean it like that. :)

I just found that as a student, when they said 'reassuring' I was like WTF does that mean... give me the specifics... Everything charted is the details... except this. (Or maybe not... never really charted in REAL life. )

(It's like the botanical name when it comes to herbs.)

No back down required... I am irritated by everything always changing. And then there is the detail that everyone basically does it the old way for another decade... rant.
