No, I wouldn't say we were friends, although it's possible for that to change some day. Hopefully one day you'll no longer be jealous.

Allies isn't quite right either, but it's closest word I can think of. We both have goals in common, wouldn't you say?

I am currently working on not being jealous. It is unpleasant to experience, and highly illogical of me. And it upsets him.

Allies is an acceptable term.

No, unfortunately. There's no standard for how people work through their emotions; the time will vary depending on the person and the circumstances.

That is rather annoying. It would be useful if I could plan around adjusting to not being jealous, or at least form some kind of timetable to follow.
