When Squee opened his eyes, he found himself to be inside the base. He immediately cringed as the cold of the interior assaulted him from all directions. ((Out of sight from any detection devices.))
“C-col-ld-d,” Squee shivered, rubbing his shoulders as he adjusted from the change in temperature, as he thought that maybe he should have picked up that nice suit of armor back at Phoenix Base. Right now he was wearing the same clothing he had on when he arrived on this world-grey shirt, pantaloons, leather shoes, and satchel fastened on his leather belt-a casual human traveler’s gear, sized to his smaller frame. He refused the armor because he placed more value in mobility then, but right now he thought that a little protection, from the elements and otherwise, right now wouldn’t have hurt.
Squee looked around. The hallway that he ended up in was dimly lit and currently empty for the moment, the grey walls a close match with his clothing. The walls were at odd geometric angles, which reminded him of the warrens built by the Krack Clan goblins in Mirrodin, only much cleaner, tidier, and a whole lot less smellier-not that the comparison is close by any means. He let this familiarity comfort him, letting push away his earlier feelings of hesitancy toward this mission.
Reminding himself that this was his idea, after all, Squee pulled at the light around him, gathering it like a cloak. As it settled about him, his form slowly shimmered, then faded into an indistinct shape.
((Squee’s using Gaseous Form. At this point onward, any non-organic detectors would only not a slight static displacement at whatever point Squee would occupy in-sort like a magical version of the tachikoma’s camouflage. Eyesight-or the equivalent-would see him normally, if a bit harder simply because of his clothing. Non-magical physical attacks would only pass harmlessly from him, otherwise it would be fatal. Energy-based attacks would also be fatal. This is, of course, if combat should occur.))
Squee hears the sound of footfalls in the distance. He quickly scurried in the opposite direction, deeper into the base. While he was busy memorizing the layout of the inside, he inwardly wondered if the blue golem-Tachikoma-made it inside, and what it was doing right now.
((The Alpha should be beside him, if it followed.))
