*g* Not sure who this is for, but as I have a birthday tomorrow, I'm going to use it as an excuse to say, hi, how are you? Not seen you around for ages and a catch up would be lovely.

I was checking some of my old fic as I've loaded some stuff on AO3, and I saw some of our old conversations on fic and wondered how things were with you.

Hi again!

For some reason, LJ won't let me reply to your comment.

Last year was a bad year for us as Mr FB had a stroke in early February, then he had to have his gallbladder out a few weeks later, so it was all pretty stressful. He's recovered very well, but it was a grim year, so I've not done much actual caving, although we hope to do some again soon.

Posting on LJ is a bit weirs now, but you can male it change back to the old version of the posting box.

There's been a fair bit of water under the bridge on the fic front in the last couple of years and the series is a lot longer now. But if you ever get the time to read, my masterlist is nearly up to date.

Did you ever watch series 4 & 5 of Primeval?

LJ is being very bizarre, it seems to be screening all teh comments and refusing to let me reply to them so I suspect a mix up in the settings somewhere.

Yes, it has been a horrible 12 months, but hopefully things will be looking up again now.

LOL, Mr Henshall was probably hoping you;d ask for his autograph!

Teenage boys (and indeed teenage girls!) are a definite time sink! But it would be lovely to see you around again if you ever have the time, and I'm very touched you popped in to say hello. It means a lot!

*hugs*

I remember we had lots of chats when I was writing and posting the Devil's Crowll series. It's nice to read over old comments, but even nicer to be in contact again.

Arranging care these days does seem to be very stressful. My husband ran a local authority elderly persons' home for 17 years, so I know something of what you;re going through.

Best of luck with the computer!

And I'm happy to chat whenever you heve the time and inclination.

*hugs*

Oh yes, all our comment conversations are still on the threads.

And is you every want to fon your way back to the community it's here : http://primeval-denial.livejournal.com/

I hope something decent sorts out with the car home for your dad. It's so worrying when you;re trying to do the right thing in difficult circumstances.

Best of luck with your mouse!

Ta for that, both links now bookmarked and I will try and look in there soon.

I had a look at the recommended care home yesterday, and while it is not the most ideal, it is nicer than the last one I looked at so I have accepted it as it is only five and a half miles away. Sadly too far for my son to cycle to see him, although I might let him try in summer. It's not the distance so much, I used to cycle 6 miles to see a mate at his age, it's just the two main roads involved and the heavy traffic.

Well the keyboard is now replaced and it is total bliss to type with confidence knowing that I don't have to check every word for missing letters. I am an accurate typist and that was really frustrating. The occasional typo happens, but that was ridiculous. Sadly the new mouse does not work at all so unless my IT consultant friend (who is coming round tomorrow) can find out why it doesn't and fix it, it is going back to the shop. I am currently managing with the old one which is as sticky as the old keyboard was.

That sounds distinctly promising. I hope it works out OK.

Good luck with the mouse!

Here's a link to the main Primeval comm, if you'd ever like to pay us a visit:

I now have a working mouse YAY! The one I bought is dead and is going back to Maplins tomorrow. My friend has loaned me the one I am currently using and also a rechargeable one as back up.

Ta for the link.
