Things started so well, breaking up with Lim. And that's probably a fight that Athena and Matt needed to have, as painful as it was. They haven't quite cleared the air, but definitely said a few things that needed to be said.

We often think of Brem as being like the Doctor but I suppose all three would have picked up things from him.

Yes. And that's actually one of my favorite lines from the argument, because I like the fact that it drives home how completely out of character it was for Athena to fall apart on Matt like that. In her head, she *is* always okay, and part of the importance of that is making sure she always maintains that charade. She's appalled Matt would acknowledge that it had fallen for a bit, he should have known that shouldn't be brought up again.

PS: And of course this means there's one less person Athena feels she can go to with her troubles. *worries for her*

Well, this is a downer. Have you ganged up with the Gossip Girl writers to KILL ME DEAD this week?

No more Matt for Athena to confide in makes me worry even more. Not to mention Athena seems to be suffering from a Doctoresque fit of jealousy about Kelly, which makes me wonder if she's going to run. (In my mind Kelly's name has the italic emphasis of dislike, despite being completely unfair.)

Ha! Kelly's name does usually have the italic emphasis of dislike! And I like how you describe Athena's fit as "Doctoresque." Oh, Ten...
