Five Questions meme

Feb 24, 2013 14:47

How this works: Comment with your favourite colour and I'll respond by asking you five questions so I can get to know you better. Update your journal with the answers to the questions. Include this explanation in the post and offer to ask other people questions.

Got this meme and my five questions from litlover12. If you want to play, too, comment with your ( Read more... )

Hey there. I don't believe I know you, but I agree that it's always fun to get to know new people on lj. :-) So let me find some questions for you that don't rely on you having a favourite anything... ;-)

1. What's your opinion of the last movie you've watched? (And which movie was it?)
2. Are you following any TV series at the moment and if yes, which ones?
3. What are you currently reading?
4. What do you like best about livejournal?
5. How's the weather at your place today?

I'll play: Blue.

As much as I love the ACD Holmes stories, I definitely get where you are coming from. There are some great ones, but everything is at least slightly problematic and some just plain suck. I love them for their totality, and for the 50,000 things they've inspired, despite the problems of each one individually.

Yay! :-D And I love the ACD stories for all the creativity and follow-ups they've inspired, too. Maybe I should have made that clearer... And I love the characters Conan Doyle created. I just think he not that great a writer...

Your questions:
1. What's your favourite Cabin Pressure episode? (Have to ask that, too! ^^)
2. What's your favourite work by Neil Gaiman?
3. Which is your favourite Sherlock Holmes adaptation / pastiche?
4. Which historical figure would you like the Doctor to meet / which historical era would you like to see him travel to? (Historical can mean contemporary, too, if you wish.)
5. If you could change one thing about one fandom you are currently in or would like to be in, what would it be?

Don't know whether you've already answered the questions... If not, I'd like to replace the second one with:
2. What's your favourite quote by Neil Gaiman?
(Because I'm just wondering about that for some reason. ^^)
Feel free to answer either of these questions (or both.) :-)

I just posted the answers like two minutes before getting the notice of this comment. I'll have a think about a quote then edit the post to throw it in.

I'm in. Green. :-)

I would probably hang with Peeta. I'm not a talker either, and two together can get really awkward. And I really need to get on Cabin Pressure. It looks fun.

Yay for wanting to get into Cabin Pressure! It'll be awesome, I promise. :-D And you may be right about two non-talkers having an awkward time...

Anyway, here are your questions:
1. Who's your favourite character from Sherlock and do you ship him/her with anybody?
2. If you could spend an afternoon with one Pushing Daisies character, which one would it be?
3. You can bring back one dead character from The Hunger Games (all three books): Who is it and why?
4. If the Doctor took you anywhere in time and space, where would you like to go first?
5. Which celebrity (dead or alive) would you love to invite for dinner?

Posted the questions as a response to your anon comment. Just telling you again because I don't know if lj notifies you about this. :-)

And he could bake me a delicious cake. ;-)

This is a good reason! :) (I would probably opt for Finnick, who's my favorite, but knowing about what happens in Mockingbird would make that weird, so maybe not...)

And even though I've done this meme twice, I think, I do find it handy, so I'd like to play again: Green!

I do hope that at least some of my questions are a bit new to you - or at least not ones you've already had to answer several times... If so, feel free to ask for a new question. :-)

1. If they made the Discworld Watch series into a TV series (which I heard rumours BBC will, but lets ignore real life facts ;-) ), what would be your dream casting? (Choose as many or as few characters as you'd like.)
2. What's your favourite episode of House MD?
3. If you could guarantee one underrated book to get more attention, which one would you choose?
4. Which storytelling trope do you hate most / do you think is overused?
5. If you could change the ending of one book, film or TV series, which one would it be and why?

Thank you! And none are repeats (and all should be fun to answer), so, no worries :)
