I've recently got into Doctor Who, the new series, and I'd like to get to know the Doctor Who fandom, too! Can anyone recommend me good (i.e. friendly and active) Doctor Who comms on livejournal or other fannish places? Thanks! :-)

It's the biggest community and you've probably come across it already, but it's full of amazing people that you can talk to about every single detail that comes to your mind: doctorwho. It also has every single thing that you normally find in a large fandom: new fics every day, all sorts of graphics, fanvids, cosplays, all the info concerning the actors and much more. Best place to stay up to date with everything.
My favourite in this fandom though is the DoctorDonna community: doctor-donna, I met there the best people in DW fandom. But I'm a huge fan of Donna and season 4, so it all depends on what characters/Doctors/seasons you are most interested in :)
And if you like having all the newest things in one place, I recommend joining who-daily, a sort of a fandom newsletter.

Thanks for the recs! I haven't watched series 4 so far, but I'll keep that DoctorDonna comm in mind. And that big doctorwho comm is pretty awesome! Exactly what I was looking for! :-)
