It's been a bit over a year since I've posted my first Sherlock fanfic on this journal (sadly I missed the anniversary on July 29), so I thought I could have a bit fun analyzing my fanfic writing statistics since then.

Yay, statistics! I've got a big excel spreadsheet full of diagrams like this too ;) The other day I spent zero time writing and lots of time making pie-charts and stuff.

There is an ACD fest that fits into your September timeframe (acd_holmesfest), maybe you saw it already? Or maybe you were thinking more of a Sherlock big bang?

Yeah, once I started, it got hard to stop making pretty diagrams and charts. ^^ Maybe there will be other posts to follow...

That ACD fests sounds interesting - I couldn't find a timeline, though. Are you sure it'll be in September? Originally, yes, I was more thinking about Sherlock, but if I have free time, why not try another fest (I LOVE fests and fic exchanges! &hearts)? ;-) As far as I've seen most big bangs span several months and while I'm sure that's a sensible timeframe for such long stories, I really can't say in advance whether I'm going to be free several months from now...

I've got 'posting in October' in my head from somewhere, which means writing in September. It's true it doesn't seem to be on the comm anywhere though...

Yeah, I really want to write something long too. The first fics I wrote were really long (between 8000 and 27000!) and then paf! everything got much shorter. Not sure why... But yeah, I'm scared of committing to a big bang without knowing what I'll be doing in several months time. But in big bangs, you generally get to work with an artist, and that sounds like a fun thing to do.
