It was a curious thing that he should suddenly begin to feel small upon coming of age. He ought to have felt big and wise. But how could he, with the weight of an entire world resting on his shoulders?
Frodo sighed. Hobbiton was only some days’ march behind him and already, he could no longer face people on eye level. All he ever saw were shoes, legs and bellies. Who would take him seriously here - a Hobbit, no bigger than one of their children? How could a person as small as him save a world as large as Middle-earth?
